Materials:
- 2-1/2 yds. cord, ribbon or plastic lacing
- 1 lanyard hook or keyring
- 120 root beer translucent or brown opaque pony beads
- 4 green pony beads
- 2 white pony beads
- 1 gold or yellow pony bead
Special Note: Thanks to McCall's Creates book #286, Jingle Beadies, for the inspiration on the legs.
Special Instructions: In case you can't see the string path very clearly:
Nose: only one string goes through the black nose bead, giving it a little bit of a 3-D effect.
Legs: Notice that you string one of the leg beads on the strings between rows 12 and 13. Then after row 13, string a bead on, go through the bead you strung between the rows, string on 5 more beads, and go back through the 1st bead you strung after row 13. Then you continue with the "foot" part before finishing up with row 14.
If you wanted to make Scooby look even more like he is sitting, you could tie the ends of his front paws to row 14, either with a separate string or before knotting.
